UHF-therapy: an alternating electric field of ultrahigh frequency

UHF therapy is a method of treatment of physiotherapy, using alternating continuous or pulsed alternating electric field of high and ultrahigh frequency (generation frequency 40,68 MHz and 27.12 MHz). The absorption coefficient of the electric field UHF band is low, therefore the action is continuous.

UHF therapy has anti-inflammatory, secretory, vasodilator muscle relaxant, immunosupressivny and trophic effects. It can be used from birth.

Indications for use

  • inflammatory, including acute purulent processes of different localization;
  • the vasoconstriction and other violations of peripheral blood circulation;
  • functional disorders of the cardiovascular system without the expressed violations of a condition of blood circulation;
  • of frostbite;
  • injuries of the musculoskeletal system and nervous system;
  • prevention of suppuration in wounds and minor violations of the integrity of the skin;
  • diseases of the digestive system in the phase of damped recrudescence;
  • neuralgia.

Contraindications

  • malignant neoplasms and suspicion of their presence
  • bleeding tendency
  • the active form of tuberculosis
  • heart failure
  • aortic aneurysm
